The Description: Two Artists, Two tracks each. Just your host and the music. Double Shots became an extension of the Insomnia Radio family by way of necessity. Jason needed an outlet to showcase music that dipped into the mellower side of the spectrum without interrupting the flow of Insomnia Radios typically upbeat pattern. Double Shots is now widely known as being driven by its guest hosts, other podjockeys from around the world. I've been really wrestling with this, and maybe a few of my listeners can offer some feedback. Double Shots has always been a "Side project" of Insomnia Radio, but here's the puzzler... When I release IR on monday, then a double shots mid week, downloads for the preceding IR show seem to decline, effectively "cut off" by the release of Double Shots. This is due to the default iTunes settings of downloading only the most recent episode (and 80% of my listeners use iTunes) So there are two choices: 1: Release IR on mondays, then a Double shots the following monday, giving you only two of each per month. I personally feel that this "cheats" the listener to some extent, but it does increase the NUMBER of listeners. 2: Create a seperate feed for Double Shots and deal with the struggle of getting people to add another feed to their subscription list... I'd like to open Double Shots to the entire podcasting community. So, as a listener, what would be your preference? Your feedback is damn valuable here...
