Fri, 30 December 2005 The crew at 75/15 minutes is a well oiled machine. Why? Because they have a team of contributors helping them find excellent music. I've been essentially doing the IR thing solo, with the exception of guest hosts for Double Shots, for over a year, and I simply can't continue this way without pulling my hair out, turning into an alcoholic, and going prematurely grey. So, I am looking to emulate their model as it were. Looking for 3 people to consistently submit one great track per week for the show. Your task would be to find only ONE quality track, obtain permission for it, and forward it to me. You would be listed as official IR staff of course, and I'm sure the relationship could be extended in other ways down the road. This is a serious position, and a vital part of IR's continued success. If you're interested, shout it to the heavens... Or just use your keyboard. Happy New Year gang! Next post: Insomnia Radio 50. Wed, 9 November 2005 Bonus show this week! I'm warning everyone now: IR 46 has at LEAST 25 F-Bombs and numerous other offensive things. IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, SKIP THIS SHOW. I would rather have less listeners than a slew of unhappy ears. I've warned ya here and in the title of the actual show ;-) Inspired by MFJ: RocketSauce, I set out to record a loud, explicit, angry show (to match my mood this week) fueled by all manner of hard music. Mission accomplished. Special thanks to Joshua and Julie for their introduction and interlude. Also a shout to Pure Pwnage, whose clip I stole for the introduction. Fri, 9 September 2005 I woke up this morning to an audio message from Swoopy @ Skepticality, tearfully explaining that Derek, her co-host, and creator and host of AMP'ed, as well as someone I can call my friend, has been struck down with a coma. As I explain in the show, I'm not a praying man, but this goddamn reason enough to start. This still does not feel real. My thoughts and prayers are with Derek and his entire family during this confusing and painful time. As such, Part 1 is a bit different than intended. The first 20 minutes was recorded a few days prior to hearing the news. Minutes before sitting down to wrap it up today, I heard the news about Derek. The remainder of the show is understandably more somber, and I won't apologize for that. I still hope you enjoy the music and the comments. The giveaways previously mentioned will now appear in Part 2 of Episode 40. As the chorus states in "Quiet As A Mouse": "Wake up, you've got a lot of things to do. Wake up, the sun is rising without you." Come back to us Derek. We wish you all the best. Part 1 of 3 contains the following "anti-hits" of Insomnia Radio.

Tue, 28 June 2005 Hi gang. Today marks the early release of iTunes 4.9, complete with podcasting built in! I'm setting up a different feed JUST for iTunes. If you'd like to add Insomnia Radio to your iTunes sofware, please use this link (and you can simply drag and drop it into your podcasts area): Insomnia Radio RSS Now, before you get upset, I am NOT changing my RSS again! Lol. Simply adding one strictly for iTunes. The PRIMARY reason for this is that Feedburner will VERY soon allow users to enter additional, iTunes compatible information into their feed, making everyone's life much easier. So, whether you create your own RSS, or it's created for you, everyone is on the same playing field. So please add that feedburner link to your iTunes ok?... I.R. is not yet in the iTunes Podcast Directory, but I have a hunch that the more people suggest it, the quicker it will be added. Apple also issued an iPod update.
